Job Description:
Collects, aggregates, analyzes, and summarizes quality data for hospital organizational performance and physician performance data. Coordinates the collection, trending, and reporting of QI data used for process improvement efforts. Develops data reports for projects, committees, hospital departments, and medical staff departments. Ensures accuracy of data collection and submission; validates the integrity of data collected. Serves as an educational resource on the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform both internally and externally by developing educational material and delivering presentations. Demonstrates appropriate utilization of resources necessary to obtain valid, reliable data for entry into the program. Coordinates assigned meetings, including review of agendas, notices, notebooks, and minutes, and performs necessary follow-up based on actions taken by the committee. Provides quarterly statistics for all MBSQIP meetings and attends a minimum of 2 meetings a year. Completes accurate and timely collection/submission of data/quality databases. Acts as a resource for staff and physicians regarding evidence-based measures. Utilizes excellent interpersonal skills to handle challenging situations while maintaining strong supportive relationships. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology and disease process. [Preferred]

• 1+ years experience in a hospital surgery department/clinic with clinical chart review and abstraction experience. [Required]
