The Clinical Research Educator is responsible for the academic development of our clinical research professionals, clinical and professional scientists, and trainees. They develop and deliver high?quality training, competency frameworks, and professional development programs. This role ensures consistent onboarding, regulatory compliance, and skill advancement for research staff, investigators, and trainees, supporting excellence in clinical research operations and academic integrity.
Create structured education pathways and orientation programs across research functions (Clinical, Regulatory, Institutional Review Board (IRB), OnCore, Grants, Principal Investigator onboarding programs.
Develop competency frameworks and mentoring programs to support professional growth and career progression.
Ensure all training aligns with institutional Standard Operating Procedures and national standards (Food and Drug Administration, Office of Human Research Protections, National Institutes of Health).
Deliver education and training through multiple formats, such as workshops, seminars, digital modules, live instruction, and expert-led sessions.
Collaborate with Human Resources and research leadership to integrate training into onboarding processes and ongoing development plans.
Track training completion, competency achievement, and program effectiveness; maintain audit?ready documentation and reporting.
Conduct training needs assessments and update curricula based on regulations, feedback, institutional feedback, audit findings, and emerging best practices.

Technical Expertise
Experience developing education programs in a clinical research or hospital-based environment.
Familiarity with Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) and Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) professional standards.
Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) and development of digital training modules.
Background in building mentoring programs, competency models, or career progression pathways for research staff and trainees.
Knowledge of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR,) Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research ethics, human subject protections, and applicable regulations.
Experience with adult learning principles, curriculum development, instructional design, and competency?based training preferred.
Strong communication, project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
Education and Experience
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Research Administration, Public Health, Education, Health Services Research or related field). Master's degree preferred. 2. Years of relevant experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in research education, academic development, or clinical research operations.
