Tenet Healthcare Corporation has partnered with WittKieffer to seek a versatile, dynamic executive to serve as its next Market Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Michigan Market located at the Detroit Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. Since 1886, with the founding of Children's Hospital and in the creation of the first mechanical heart at Harper Hospital fifty years ago, Detroit Medical Center has provided medical excellence to its patients. Today, the Michigan market produces net revenues of $2B annually across seven hospitals and serves a wide portion of the Detroit metro area.
Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer, the CSO will lead in the development and implementation of strategies that improve the market positioning of Tenet's Michigan Market. The CSO will use data to analyze market dynamics and improve current business plans to achieve the goals of the organization consistent with the mission and values of Tenet Healthcare. They will work closely with the DMC leadership to establish and influence others to achieve targets and metrics in alignment with strategic and operational goals and develop or expand, successful new inpatient and/or outpatient service lines within the Detroit area, especially in the high-acuity specialties. Additionally, the CSO will serve as the lead executive in developing and advancing the facility's short-term and long-term strategic plans.
The successful candidate will have a strong strategic orientation and financial acumen. The CSO will bring a minimum of 5 years of progressive strategic planning and strategy development experience in a complex healthcare organization. The next leader will be a demonstrate a developed track record of utilizing data to drive strategic decision-making and forming complex business plans in a competitive healthcare market. An undergraduate degree in business or a healthcare-related field is required and an advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health is strongly preferred.
