Indiana University Health Medical Group is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient Neurosurgery department at Methodist Hospital! Join a highly skilled team providing care for ICU, Trauma, Neurovascular, stroke, spine and cranial surgery patients.
Position Details:
Full time, Night Shift, Rotating Weekends
3 12-hour days per week (6:00pm-6:30am)
APP's will do self-scheduling, and it will be worked out within the department
No call
100% inpatient
Team includes 17 physicians and 30 APPs- working directly with 17 physician's and 11 APP's
Procedures:
Simple wound closure after drain removal
Lumbar puncture
Shunt taps
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluating new consults either in ED or on one of the inpatient units.
Evaluating patient with neuro changes
Inpatient care
Discharges
Qualifications:
ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
Neurosurgical, Neurology, Trauma, ICU experience is preferred
General knowledge of neurological deficits and disorders would be preferred
Acute Care certification or an NP/PA with Neurosurgical and/or critical care experience preferred
