Job SummaryProvides perfusion support service through operation and maintenance of various extracorporeal equipment and instrumentation to support surgical procedures. Provides care for patients in a variety of age ranges. Must be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion, or must complete the certification procedure within two years of employment.Job DutiesOperates and maintains extracorporeal equipment and instrumentation during surgery.Utilizes blood gas exchange devices and related systems, under accepted clinical protocol, to provide perfusion during adult, pediatric, and neonatal procedures.Maintains perfusion records and associated data.Takes appropriate action when abnormal situations arise.Operates
