Respiratory Therapist, Emergency Department
OverviewThe Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Care Services department encompasses responsibility for administering respiratory care within the scope their scope of practice under a physician's order including, but not limited to, all types of oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECG's and mechanical ventilation of adult/geriatric patients. The Therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of therapy, with communication to the physician and health care team. The Therapist understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, vision, and values in the management of patient care.(Adult) Basic Life Support Required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required. (Neonatal/Peds)
