This program is in-person. Classes will be held at the HACC Harrisburg Campus Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. 

Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting blood specimens (phlebotomy) from inpatients and outpatients and receiving other laboratory specimens, i.e., 24 hour urine containers, sputum, stool specimens and splitting of random urine specimens. Enters, verifies, and updates patient demographic and insurance information into various information systems. Responsible for performing and reporting bedside glucose testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School diploma or equivalent required 
• Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification
• Previous outpatient experience preferred
