DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Initiates and maintains all patient medical records, discharge records, and outpatient records. Preps and analyzes all medical records for completeness. Locates and eliminates duplicate medical records for the paper-based and electronic medical record. Primarily responsible for quality assurance of all documentation received in the H.I.S. department. Reviews, prepares and scans patient health information from a paper format into the document imaging software Content Manager and/or Cerner data repository. Ensures 98% - 100% accuracy and quality of scanned documents. Maintains scanning equipment on daily basis. Participates in inter- and intra- departmental document imaging operations and assists in the maintenance
