DescriptionSummary:Transports patients to their inpatient bed and/or to and from other areas such as admitting, surgery, therapy or radiology in a safe and timely manner. Retrieves medical records, lab results, supplies and medications as required. Prioritizes duties to facilitate department flow. Maintains and cleans equipment. This is a job where you are on your feet all day, 20k steps a day, and there is a lifting piece as well as you are having to aid patients in moving to beds/wheelchairs for transport. You are trained on this element and assistance is there for you as well if needed. You are transporting patients and equipment all over the main hospital. This is NOT a driving position.
