Summary: The Liaison is responsible for checking orders and directing patients to the appropriate area. Performs administrative duties to maintain a smooth effective flow in the lobby. The liaison is responsible for screening patients, visitors, and staff for temperature and virus symptoms.

Responsibilities: Greeting patients, time stamping orders, logging patients in and directing them to the appropriate waiting area. Answers general information questions and ensures a smooth flow of all patients/visitors that enter the building. Takes patient, visitor, or staff temperature. Asks screening questions for virus symptoms. Provides a mask for anyone entering without one. Checking orders to ensure tests can be performed at the location. Accesses Scheduling.com: Checking appointment time/ dates/ location of scheduled appointments. Directing patients to proper location if warranted or if test can be done at location calling department to see if they can accommodate patient. Expedites patients with multiple testing . Alerts all departments involved to orchestrate the order in which tests need to be performed. Prepares folders by service and adds blank consents to Radiology folders. Expedites patients who have been called to have labs redrawn or scans that need to be repeated. Maintains records, reports, and files as required. Collects monthly identifiers and patient labeling. Signs for Fedex and UPS deliveries or redirect to proper location. Receive and distribute mail delivery. Communicates with clinical departments as necessary. Reports issues to appropriate area manager. Advises destination department of any patient who fails to pass screening question or temperature check per protocol and responds accordingly. Advises any team member who fails to pass screening questions or temperature check recommended next steps per protocol. Advises any visitor who fails to pass screening questions or temperature check per protocol. Ensures adequate supply of forms for radiology, lab and reception areas. Orders pamphlets and brochures for the lobby. Assists in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Alerts supervisor to malfunction of equipment and/or call for maintenance/repair. Keeps lobby neat and orderly. Maintains thermometers and other supplies needed for screening. Performs other duties as assigned.
