The Women's Service line Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and ensures safe, quality care to patients in a family centered care environment utilizing the nursing process. In addition, this RN maintains Best Practice by monitoring compliance through the Performance Improvement process. S/he serves as a resource to guide, educate, transition and mentor new hire. S/he assists with bedside procedures, equipment set-up, and ensuring OB staff are adequately prepared and can apply knowledge and skills at the bedside. S/he assists with nurse, physician, and patient satisfaction and assists them by navigating them through the obstetric experience to ensure the best possible experience. S/he educates staff, ensures staff competency and application at the bedside, and assists in the evaluation of the obstetric staff. S/he will work in conjuction with the leadership team to oversee the clinical application throughout the orientation process for the Women's Services RNs.
Required: 2-3 years
BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
NRP / AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
