Fairview Health Services has an opening for a Lead Laboratory Client Services. This is a fulltime, evening shift position.
Performs daily lead responsibilities within client services area to ensure the lab has the necessary information to complete testing and billing functions. Assists with staff orientation, training and coordination and communication of department workflow processes.
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
Monitors and evaluates requests from clients in order to provide better service.
Prepares, monitors and adjusts work schedule so that established turnaround times are met.
Assists supervisor in implementing and communicating policies and procedures. Works with staff to problem solve, working collaboratively when problems arise.
Provides and documents ongoing training for employees (including orientation and education).
Participates in the selection of qualified staff, provides input on employee performance.
Reviews, follows and understands established laboratory quality assurance and quality control procedures.
High school graduate or GED.
Experience: 3 years clinical laboratory or related experience. Demonstrate evidence of supervisory skills.
Knowledge: Knowledgeable in all areas of responsibility for customer service representatives and secretary/receptionists.
Attention to Detail: Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.
Coordination: Integration of activities, structures, and responsibilities so that resources are used most effectively to meet objectives.
Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, coworkers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection.
Organization: Effective management of projects, deadlines, and work load prioritizing; putting things together in an orderly and functional whole.
Patient Safety: Demonstrates practices that support safety with recognition of variations in populations served, preventing harm to patients, families, employees, and themselves.
Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; utilizes appropriate tools and staff resources along with sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Quality Improvement: Systematic approach to reduction or elimination of errors, work back-flow.
Scheduling: Knowledgeable in assigning appropriate resources to meet business needs in a timely and accurate manner.
