Incumbent sets up food service counters. Works on tray line placing food items on trays according to prescribed diet. Dispenses coffee according to number of servings required. Sets up salads and desserts according to menu. Works in dish washing unit, sorting, scraping, pre-rinsing, racking and washing dishes. Operates and cleans dish machine. Cleans dining rooms and kitchens, including mopping floors. Delivers trays to patients' bedside and returns soiled trays following meals. Serves patient meal trays to patients in dining rooms. Serves patient meal trays bedside in patient rooms. Delivers patient food carts to mental health wards. Responds appropriately to all customer concerns. Adheres to meal time schedules. Retrieves all meal trays from patient's rooms, wards, and dining rooms. Maintains good personal hygiene. Washes hands properly and often. Washes dishes, flatware, pots and pans. Keeps work area clean and neat. Adheres to cleaning schedules. Cleans all surfaces with appropriate chemicals including floors, tables, chairs, counters, refrigerators, and dish machines. Prepares toast, coffee, tea, and a variety of simple fruit and vegetable salads. Covers, labels, and dates all food items to prevent spoilage and waste, uses FIFO method when rotating items.
