Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Geisinger Dermatology is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our growing team at Geisinger Montoursville Clinic in Montoursville, PA.
This position will perform, under the responsibility and in collaboration with the physician, diagnostic, therapeutic and procedural tasks in an advanced practice role. Provides direct care including assessing, diagnosing, planning and prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment of skin problems, health promotion, education and preventive care within the scope of Dermatology practice. Provides comprehensive clinical coordination of care. Reports directly to Dermatology operations manager.
This advanced practitioner will provide Dermatologic care at the Montoursville Clinic working collaboratively via telehealth with the regional Dermatology team in Danville, consisting of 17 physicians and 5 APs. Previous Dermatology experience preferred but not required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania state licensure.
- The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
