M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Patient Transport/Patient Escort at the M Health Fairview U of M East Bank Medical Center.
As a Patient Transporter, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with medical professionals and assist in providing outstanding service to our patients and customers. In this role, you will transport patients and equipment to and from nursing stations, clinics and ancillary areas.
This is a .5 FTE (40 hours per two week pay period). This position is not eligible for benefits.
This is a day/evening shift opening, shift time 10AM to 6:30PM and the tentative schedule for this opening is as follows:

Week 2 W, F, Sa, Su
Job duties include:
Transporting patients to and from locations throughout the University Campus to facilitate service and assure patient safety.
Maintaining equipment and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery.
Demonstrating appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness.
Working with patients, families and all members of the medical team.
Ensuring patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks.
Providing outstanding customer service to patients, families and all members of the medical team.
High School Diploma/GED
Strong communication and customer service skills
CPR certification(BLS Certification from Red Cross or American Heart Association)
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
Ability to lift, transfer andtransport patients and equipment
