Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking an experienced professional to manage our Clinical Immunology Lab.
Must have strong clinical and administrative skills
Must possess demonstrated leadership for the provision of high standards for quality patient care
Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) & Continuous Quality Improvement, and Corporate Compliance activities
Ensure NYS DOH and Joint Commission standards compliance
Serve as resource to all lab section employees and troubleshoot technological and operational issues
Perform validation studies on new equipment, reagents & methodologies
Write, implement and train employees on new procedures and technologies
Ensure employees are observing appropriate policies and procedures and implement corrective action as necessary
Demonstrate strengths in critical thinking, innovation, team leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration
Promote and support the hospital’s employee engagement initiatives
Bachelor’s Degree required
New York State license required
6 years of Immunology experience required
Ability to prioritize issues, resolve conflicts, manage project plans and communicate with all levels of the organization
Superior oral, written and verbal communication skills; ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships
Effective presentations skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change
Strong customer service orientation
Degree in Medical Technology or a related science preferred
