EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent
SKILLS: Ability to listen and communicate orally with co-workers, physicians and create written materials. Ability to function in calm and professional manner at all times, even under duress with multiple interruptions. Basic computer and office equipment skills (copier, calculator, fax, printer, multi-line phone, scanner). Desire and ability to be to work on time as scheduled.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year of medical office experience including direct patient contact, preferred but not required.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: Clinic Manager
-Bloodborne pathogen: Frequent exposure to blood and body fluids. Appropriate protective equipment provided.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift light to moderate weight (up to 30 lbs.) with occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, stretching, pulling and pushing. Ability to use hand with manual, fine finger dexterity when working with office equipment. Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
