JOB SUMMARY: Provides leadership in services and programs to improve operations through a systems approach. Leads current and future value stream mapping, and recommends and implements changes that add to the value stream in order to meet financial targets while improving quality of care, patient safety, and overall patient satisfaction. Focuses on mentoring staff and building partnerships with leadership, providers, and various supporting groups.
Responsible for overall program design and continued evaluation and persistent adaptation of program as needed to reflect changes in organizations strategic plan and direction.
Monitors and measures the benefits of improvement activities from a programmatic perspective.
Develops a strategy to attain future state goals assuring responsibility for event follow through and sustainability.
Engage and coach leaders to sustainable practice change through the 4 disciplines of execution.
Supports leadership and frontline staff with implementation of improvement activities.
ANALYTICAL SKILLS (ADVANCED): - The process of identifying, evaluating, interpreting and organizing data. It includes sorting through data to identify patterns and establish relationships for decision making.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (ADVANCED): - Identifies, analyzes and improves upon existing business processes for optimization and to meet standards of quality.
PROJECT PLANNING (ADVANCED): - Demonstrates ability to realistically anticipate resource needs, identify and break work down into discrete and measurable tasks, set priorities, define dependencies, schedule activities, prepare acceptance criteria and organize work for a medium sized project. Appropriately matches equipment and capital resources to task demands. Reshapes project during life-cycle evolution, if needed. Demonstrates ability to break down work into manageable and measurable units, estimating time and costs appropriate to the stage of the project. Works with basic project management tools, either paper-based or computer software systems.
CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (ADVANCED): - Identifies, analyzes and improves upon existing business processes for optimization and to meet standards of quality. Coaches senior and executive leadership in defining metrics and goals.
