Under general supervision of Pharmacy management and according to established policies and procedures, performs principal duties and responsibilities of clinical pharmacist and works collaboratively with clinical pharmacists to ensure clinical pharmacy programs are effectively implemented and maintained.
Performs all principal duties and responsibilities of a clinical pharmacist.
Assists Pharmacy management in maintaining the organizationï¿½s clinical pharmacy program and ensure it provides patient-centered, cost-effective, and safe care including the development of new clinical pharmacy programs and services and ensure viability of new services in terms of patient care, cost-effectiveness and patient safety.
Develops policies, protocols and guidelines that support the creation and maintenance of the clinical pharmacy program, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
Provides support to the Medication Safety Committee and other hospital committees as applicable, which may include but not limited to coordinating the agenda, scheduling, and protocol and guideline development.
Provides mentorship to pharmacy students and fellows as applicable.
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with Pharm.D. or BS in Pharmacy.
Licensed Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Residency training or minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
Strong organizational, clinical, and communication skills, with attention to details
Board Certification in Specialty area
Pharmacy Residency or Fellowship training
