Manages the daily operations of the Clinical Pharmacy to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll for Pharmacy Technicians, and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Assesses the quality of services delivered and coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments. Performs the duties of a Pharmacist when necessary.
Manages the hiring, training, development and evaluating of Pharmacy Technicians. Develops competency-based staff assessments and ensures they are met.
Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring or pharmacy operations and clinical initiatives.

Licensed as a Pharmacist (R.Ph) in the state of Kentucky. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
A minimum of 4 years' pharmacy experience required. Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
