Description Under the direction of the Cardiology Service Line Manager, is responsible for daily operations. Coordinates the scheduling and efforts of the technologists. Trains and mentors CVIR associates. May provide minimal to moderate technical and patient support and patient care. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS St Vincent. It is expected that the associate demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. He/she shall support CHRISTUS St Vincent's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of radiology or accredited school of nursing.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current New Mexico RN and/or ARRT license, and current BLS and ACLS issued through American Heart Association.
SKILLS: Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served. Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care. Communicates in a clear concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of patient.
EXPERIENCE: Up to Four (4) years' experience in a Cath Lab/IR Lab and/or other healthcare experience.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION: Responsible to: Cath / IR Lab Manager
ENVIRONMENT: Bloodborne Pathogen - C. Exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays.
Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Subject to stressful professional relationships. Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations, prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Requires heavy (at least 50 lbs.) physical effort to position, push and/or transfer patients or equipment and supplies. Requires considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching. Ability to judge distance and space relationships, see peripherally, distinguish and identify different colors. Hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits. Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required.
