Description

This position is responsible for leading project meetings with the core business team in gathering comprehensive business requirements and translating them into automated solutions, to include workflow technical design and implementation. Business Analyst will serve as the technical liaison with the software programming team for implementing workflow solutions and project monitoring, to include ongoing workflow maintenance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform complex analysis in an evolving data environment
  • Complete projects that require data mining, analysis, and presentation
  • Focus on solutions, dive into projects, quickly identify drivers in the data
  • Identify relevant trends, do follow up analysis, prepare visualizations
  • Develop dashboards to track remediation of issues
  • Analyze data, patterns, and related trends
  • Provide statistical assistance to the department
  • Works with requestors of informational topics related to research, and decision-making analyses
  • Establishes and maintains operational database
  • Conducts trending analysis for improvement
  • Captures information regarding the activities
  • Supports project leaders/management in the creation of data repots and reviews technical data to ensure legibility, accuracy and completeness in gathering, organizing, generating, processing
  • Utilizing an understanding of technical data, makes recommendations to ensure documentation/reports are prepared in accordance with approved procedures
  • Works with internal and external customers to identify, research and resolve data integrity issues
  • Assist in the development of manuals and training material for the function
  • Tracks and monitors job status through workflow processes
  • Participates on work teams to achieve department goals and improve processes
  • Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of technical developments within the given function
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge of system/equipment capability, design restrictions and security requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills related to the development of report specifications, data reporting and data modeling
  • Experience in developing and querying, relational databases, preferably Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Ability to develop complex queries using various programming languages including SQL and PL/SQL
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of program requirements, regulations and restrictions
  • Ability to gather and analyze data, reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate concise information and recommendation available in both oral and written forms
  • Strong background in analysis, design, development, testing and support of complex information systems with an emphasis on data integrity and quality control
  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
  • Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Office tools particularly Excel
  • Understanding of data relationships, how data is input (manually and electronically) into the system, and how the data is reported
  • Ability to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, distractions, and fluctuating workload
  • Ability to write sound and efficient SQL queries to produce desired reporting or process outcomes
  • Self-starter with the ability to accomplish and take appropriate steps to achieve success
  • A respect for the confidentiality of sensitive records and a customer service focus
  • Demonstrated adherence to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct


Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Field of Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Analytic ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required
  • Good judgment, initiative and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to handle and resolve complex issues with little assistance
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • 2+ years' healthcare experience with
  • 2+ years' experience in business process environment
  • Experience in process automation or technology solutions to support the healthcare market
  • Experience in development and implementation of system reports
  • Advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and modular report develop techniques and standards
