The Nemours Children’s Health System is searching for an ABR-certified radiologist with pediatric fellowship training to serve as Chair of the Department of Radiology at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care and Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. The Chair will lead a Department of 9 other pediatric radiologists, and serve alongside the Chairs of Radiology at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida, and A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, reporting to the Radiologist-in-Chief in an integrated Department of 38 pediatric radiologists. The pediatric radiology Department in Jacksonville has subspecialty expertise in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, fetal imaging, and two fellowship trained pediatric interventional radiologists.The successful candidate will have fiscal responsibility and will manage the faculty and clinical operations of the Department, quality improvement and integration efforts, research endeavors, business development, and mentoring and teaching responsibilities. The preferred candidate will have a track record of leadership, extensive clinical experience with proficiency in the performance and interpretation of all diagnostic pediatric radiology exams, and strong interpersonal skills with a history of successfully collaborating with other clinical leaders, clinic and hospital staff, and administrators to deliver the best in imaging care. Academic appointment at the University of Florida and Mayo Clinic Jacksonville will be recommended commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. As one of the nation’s premier pediatric health care systems, Nemours provides world-class clinical care in four states – Delaware, Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. By creating an integrated Nemours-wide Radiology department, there is a critical mass of 38 pediatric radiologists, making it one of the largest pediatric radiology faculty in the nation. This critical mass has enabled marked improvement in report turn-around times, increased sub-specialization, dramatic increase in academic productivity, development of partner relationships with other hospital systems, and work on system-wide quality improvement and safety initiatives.
