Job Summary: 

Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Responsible for the performance of tasks related to project completion, including but not limited to, analysis, training, testing, documentation, problem resolution, and implementation of an application. Provides input and assists in developing project plans. 

Responsible for assisting in the design, build, and implementation of Epic Resolute and related financial software. Primary duties include but not limited to, the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, to determine system functional specifications and configuring the software according to those specifications. Also, accountable for documenting decisions and facilitating communication with various levels of end-users.

Individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Revenue Management processes and requirements contained within each area of Revenue Management. This includes, but is not limited to, Electronic Health Record Systems, Billing Systems, Patient Access Systems, Claims Editing and Processing Systems, Account Follow Up and Resolution, Cash Processing, Coding, Charge Capture, and Financial Management. Individual must also understand how other departments impact Revenue Management processes. 

Demonstrates a strong understanding of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.  

Education and or Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or other data relevant field required. Minimum of two years of experience in systems design or detailed billing system application experience required.  

OR  

Associate’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or other data related field required. Minimum of five years of experience in systems design or detailed E.H.R. application experience required.  

OR 

In lieu of degree, minimum of eight years of experience in Revenue Management systems design or detailed billing application experience required. 

HFMA CRCR or Coder Certification preferred. 

Epic Certification required within 6 months of hire. 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: 

Work is typically performed in an office environment. 

Travel will be required. Travel among Geisinger footprint, including AtlantiCare and to Wisconsin for training.
