Abrazo Scottsdale Campus (located at AZ-51 and Bell Road in Phoenix) is a 136-bed full-service acute care community-based hospital which has provided excellent comprehensive medical care to patients in the northeastern region of metro Phoenix for more than 30 years. Abrazo Scottsdale Campus provides specialized services such as an accredited chest pain center, wound care and hyperbaric (high pressure) medicine, advanced orthopedics featuring navigational technology and sports medicine, expanded rehabilitation services, enhanced diagnostic imaging, and dedicated women�s programs. Risk and Patient Safety Coordinator, Full Time, Day Shift, Abrazo Scottsdale CampusThis position involves mitigating risk and protecting the health care organization, and providing a safe environment for its patients. The main focuses are reducing medical errors and improving patient safety. SPECIAL SKILLS: Under the direction of the Director of Risk and Patient Safety Officer, this role will be crucial to the leadership team of the facility(s). Ability to conduct event responses including intense analyses (Root Cause Analyses, Event Debriefings, etc.) Ability to interview hospital and medical staff when necessary. Ability to interface with all stakeholders in the healthcare delivery system, payer networks and patients/families. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word software. Experience with Midas and Cerner are desired. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION: Relevant degree or RN PREFERRED EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree in healthcare related field MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Clinical experience as an RN, Patient Care Tech, Therapist or other allied health professional PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strongly prefer two years experience in Risk Management in an acute care setting. Clinical background and familiar with medical and legal terminology. PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: CPHRM, CPHQ
