Your Role:
You will apply the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborate in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Further your professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards. The Medical Unit consists of a strong team of engaged staff who value shared decision making and achieving a work/life balance. The team actively pursues opportunities for improvement especially when improvements benefit their patients. The successful candidate will continue to foster teamwork and collaboration amongst team members and will have strong organizational and relationship building skills. Department/Unit Summary :
The Medicine Unit in coordination with a multi- disciplinary team specializes in the treatment of adult general acute care patients. The unit is comprised of 14 private beds. Nursing staff work closely with medicine providers to lead the unit in order to exceed enterprise metrics in quality and safety as well as financial goals.
Position Shift:
* This is a 12-hour shift, 36 hours per week, day shift position. The schedule is made for six weeks which will include 12 weekend shifts (Friday and Saturday nights).
