With minimal supervision, the secretary should possess a high level of administrative and secretarial skills. This position is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Family Medicine Residency Program and the RWJ Somerset Family Practice office. This requires thorough knowledge of hospital policy, organization, personnel, services and ACGME graduate medical education requirements. The secretary must exercises independent judgment in assisting with administrative functions, coordinating day-to-day activities and performing duties in a confidential manner on behalf of the Director, Residency Administrator, and faculty. Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills. Strong computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). High School Diploma or GED required, college courses preferred.
