The Medical Assistant Lead performs duties, under general supervision, provides guidance to Practice staff engaged in a variety of work related to registration, scheduling, check-in, answering phones, billing/collections and other practice front-office functions.
Coordinates the various components of the Registration and Billing process including management of cash collection, eligibility verification of insurance coverage, and scheduling
Responsible for timely, accurate, and efficient billing process and payment postings
Maintains the coding, billing and receivables function for the practice
In charge of assisting the Supervisor with monitoring, development and implementation of day to day staff
Works collaboratively with the practice leadership to maintain open communications to support the practice and Medical Group goals, policies, procedures, and financial standards
May assist in coordinating the work schedules of office staff
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years medical office experience required, medical office leadership experience highly desirable
