This position is casual part time. Requirement is a minimum of 24 hours in a 6 week schedule. The shifts for this position would be daytime shifts with varying start and end times.
The Day Medicine Unit located within AIDHC has 10 physical bays that can accommodate 10 patients at one time. Day Medicine performs single or ongoing outpatient IV infusions for many medical conditions. Day Medicine also services all of the needs for pre-sedation and anesthesia preparation, intra-procedural care and subsequent sedation / anesthesia recovery for all Medical Imaging diagnostic studies and interventional procedures as well as minor procedures occurring outside of the operating room, emergency room and intensive care environments. The average length of stay varies by procedure from only minutes to 8 or more hours.
Hours of operation for Day Medicine are between 0600 and 1930, Monday through Friday. After hours, weekend and holiday service for sedation is provided by a rotating call team of two Day Medicine registered nurses. The registered nursing staff in Day Medicine cares for approximately 650 patients each month.
A. Education, Training and Experience
1. Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN Preferred
2. Must have a min of 1 year of nursing experience
2. Previous experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
3. PALS Certification Required

1. Current registration with Delaware State Board of Nursing.
