We are seeking a Pharmacy Concierge to serve as a liaison for medication delivery between the retail pharmacy, medical center departments, physicians, and patients who are pending discharge. This pick-up and delivery service will assist us with promoting the continuum of patient care, and help prevent avoidable readmissions. In addition, He/She will also be responsible for the following duties:
Obtain prescription orders from department for all Clara Maass Medical Center patients.
Facilitate the filling of prescriptions at the retail pharmacy.
Ensure medication availability, by delivering medications to patients and departments.
Engage patients by greeting them and offering assistance as you proceed to getting prescriptions filled.
Respond to departmental and medication concierge needs, as requested.
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful patient experience. .
High School Diploma or GED.
Associate Degree (preferred).
One year of retail pharmacy experience (preferred).
Excellent verbal communication skills, and strong ability to interact with patients.
The ability to express empathy, as well as the use reflective listening.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
The ability to work under pressure and react effectively to urgent situations.
The capability to work unsupervised with some emphasis on punctuality.
