Provides efficient and effective total cost of ownership management of non-labor expenditures across the Geisinger Health System, primarily with clinical departments. This includes development and maintenance of supplier and end-user relationships to jointly drive cost savings, confirm compliance to current contracts, explore product change and/or standardization opportunities, and to ensure procurement of quality products and services. Skills include team facilitation, project management, problem solving, market analysis, competitive bidding, negotiation, contract management, of order placement, ability to communicate appropriately with all levels of the organization, ability to coordinate product implementation with logistics and provide follow-up. Provides leadership and/or support to sourcing teams and other staff as needed.
Performs duties in a manner that supports the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality, cost-effective patient care and patient satisfaction.
Works under the direction of the Associate Vice President, Procurement Services.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required. Business and/or clinical background/education preferred.
Minimum of three years business experience required. Experience in a multi-facility healthcare setting with demonstration of progressive responsibility preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be willing to do moderate amount of traveling throughout the System to accomplish goals.
