Serves as a consultant for patients, physicians, nurses and families in the area of wound, ostomy and continence care.
Provides education to staff members, patients and families.
Provides care and support in the inpatient and the outpatient settings. Participates in product evaluation and is responsible for the ordering and proper utilization of specialty pressure reduction and relief products.
Provides education for advises on stomach problems and performs pre-op teaching.
Graduate of an accredited program in wound and ostomy care, professional education program.
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Five years of clinical nursing experience.
Minimum of two years relevant Nursing experience.
Licensure & Certification:
Registered nurse licensed to practice in Commonwealth of MA.
Maintains board certification or becomes board certified within one year of graduation from accredited wound and ostomy programs
