This Lead position will be under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse in the Operating Room and the Clinical Manger of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position is responsible for the administration of sterile processing including: quality of decontamination, cleaning, sterilization of surgical instruments, reprocessable equipment, equipment, Endo-scopes and supplies for the Perioperative Dept. Position also responsible for the functional coordination of the dept within and with outside other depts./resources.
High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Two years college preferred; will accept experience in lieu of college.
Five years of practical application experience gained on the job in all facets of sterile processing and supply inventory is preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
One of three preferred: American Hospital Association, National Institute of Sterile Processing Distribution Tech, or International Assoc, of Hospital Central Service Mgmt, will accept experience in lie of certification.
