Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Intake Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.
The Intake Triage Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.
Intake Triage Registered Nurse (RN) duties include but are not limited to:
Triage and review referral packets from referral sources (ER, CMH, etc.) for medical clearance.
Completes nursing assessments as needed.
Contacts referral sources when packets are received to inform them we received the referral, completes the preliminary checklist, enters all packets in MS4 (including insurance), triages and enters denials.
Assists walk ins and scheduled assessments with contraband checks, escorting patients to assessment rooms, obtain vitals, etc.
Provides information to patients and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance information and admission procedures.
Communicates with physicians, program directors, charge nurses, etc. regarding anticipated admission.
Provides follow-up to referral sources and patients awaiting admission.
Facilitates increased community relations with referral sources, patients, and families.
