Schedule, complete pre-registration responsibilities and verify benefit/obtain authorization when required in a friendly and timely manner. Secures patient account by obtaining appropriate demographic, insurance and medical information and enters into the STAR System. Strives to minimize patient wait time prior to patient arrival to the treatment areas improving customer satisfaction as it relates to the registration process and general communications. Performs all duties in a manner in which promotes team concepts and reflects Barnabas Health philosophy.
High School diploma or equivalent. Customer service experience preferred. 1-2 years patient processing experience. Familiarity of Medical terminology preferred. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of McKesson STAR patient processing preferred. Type 30-40 wpm.
