SPHP Medical Associates Cancer Care Center located at 317 So. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208 is seeking a FT Nursing Supervisor for Outpatient Cancer Care Services
The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8a-4p.
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the planning, priority setting, coordination and evaluation of clinical aspects of oncology patient care in the Cancer Center. Reporting to the Director, the Supervisor oversees day-to-day clinical nursing care within outpatient Medical Oncology, Infusion and Radiation Oncology. She/he ensures the delivery of safe, personalized and comprehensive outpatient oncology care. Oversees nursing preparedness for Joint Commission and other regulatory and accrediting bodies. Leads the nursing component of departmental quality program.
The Supervisor facilitates collegial relationships and promotes collaboration among care teams. She/he solves problems and functions as a clinical resource. The Supervisor has 24 hour accountability and responsibility for the human resource and outcomes management for the Center's patient populations. The Supervisor collaborates across the institution to promote seamless care transitions across the in- and outpatient continuum.
In addition, the Supervisor identifies educational needs and develops quality educational programs and tools for clinical staff.

Job Requirements Experience in cancer nursing and management required. The incumbent should demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills to counsel, support, educate, and facilitate conflict resolution. She/he must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills to assist employees with clinical situations. Must be self-directed, self-motivated, autonomous, yet work collaboratively with others. Must be able to negotiate and delegate effectively.
Education Requirements •Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; OCN Certification strongly preferred. If not currently certified, candidate must achieve within one year of assuming the position •Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred •Must have at least three years demonstrated cancer nursing experience; managerial experience required.
