This position reports to the Regional Director, and has accountability to the Corporate Quality Manager. This position provides guidance and direction to medical practice sites to drive patient safety and clinical quality. He/she uses clinical expertise and a working knowledge of clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
In this role the RN is the clinical expert who rounds on practice sites to assess adherence to best practice and regulatory standards. This role is responsible for implementing policies and processes that assess, train and drive clinicians' clinical competence and positive patient outcomes. This is a continuous process of assessing needs in an assigned region and working to set priorities and develop plans to close gaps.
Under the diriection of the CHRISTUS Physician Group Quality Manager leads quality intitiatives to drive improvements in medical practices in assigned region.
Responsible for coordinating quality management and performance improvement activities related to assigned functions. Assists with: ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements; planning, monitoring, and evaluation of performance improvement activities within the region; and education and training of associates related to performance improvement, patient safety, and other key areas. Assists with training and education of EHR documentation, provides on the job support as needed to ensure the adoption of recommended practices and workflows. Other duties include, but are not limited to: assisting with the developing and meeting annual goals and objectives for the department, identify practice gaps and develop action plans, standarize clinical practices and procedures, and develop and write clinical policies and procedures.
