Seattle, Washington - Seeking a talented Bariatric Surgery physician assistant. Full-time position. Competitive compensation; comprehensive benefits. Three to five years of experience in bariatric surgery is preferred, but new graduates with specialized training will be considered. Proven vetted laparoscopic surgical skills and a strong desire to work in bariatric surgery are mandatory. Duties include managing a clinic schedule for first visit consults and follow-up treatment, performing physical exams, interpreting lab results, prescribing and managing medication and performing pre-operative evaluations. The role will also include providing focused counseling related to weight management, including diet and physical activity. Additionally, the role will assist with laparoscopic/open bariatric procedures and rounding on patients. Ideal candidate with have a Master's degree from an accredited PA program; NCCPA certification; licensure, or eligible for licensure, as a physician assistant in the state of Washington; and excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
