The Section of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center at Oklahoma City, is actively recruiting two positions, an Assistant Professor and Assistant or Associate Professor to serve as the Fellowship Director. Successful candidates will be board certified or board eligible in Urogynecology and be able to obtain a medical license from the State of Oklahoma. Currently the section has a well-established ACGME approved fellowship, and is part of an active academic department. A passion for clinical and educational activities of the division, including our fellowship, is required. The applicant must be committed to fellow, resident, and medical student education and patient care. Our division employs a fellowship-trained Urogynecologist as well as two mid-level providers who evaluate and treat approximately 620 patients per month specifically for pelvic floor complaints, in a state-of-the-art facility located within OU Physicians. The University provides many endeavors from scientific to educational research. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. The section is a major component of the Dept. of OB/GYN, which currently has 39 faculty with representation of all subspecialties including fellowship programs in GYN ONC, REI and MFM in addition to FPMRS. We are part of the OU Health Sciences Center which houses 7 health colleges including the state’s only allopathic medical school. The department has a strong residency program of 24 residents.
