Oncology Clinical Cordinator

The Clinical coordinator of Oncology Services oversees the daily activities of the medication use process, provides comprehensive pharmacy services and leads oncology services across the health-system. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Coordinator of Oncology Services is to develop, manage, and improve drug therapy and health related services for the purpose of achieving optimal patient outcomes with a special emphasis placed on leadership in the oncology service line. The individual must coordinate all aspects of the oncology pharmacy program which include clinical representations, steering development and implementation of policies/procedures/drug therapy protocols, providing staff education, formulary evaluation and management, oversight of the PGYI and PGY2 oncology residents, performance improvement and quality assurance, and participation in the management of investigational drug studies impacting oncology/hematology disease states. This position will also be involved in developing a pharmacogenomics program.

Graduate from NABP accredited pharmacy college Current US pharmacist license (Kentucky Eligible) Problem solving, communication, leadership, and superior critical thinking skills Significant clinical experience in an Oncology setting Formulary design, function, development and maintenance Clinical pathways and disease state management MUE Development Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and members of interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. |
