The Floor Care Technician performs assigned floor care functions based on hospital standards and procedures; performs environmental services duties as needed, performs linen distribution at facilities, performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Duties. Floor technicians scrub, shine, clean and repair carpeted and non-carpeted areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals. This job includes moving large furniture and objects and following safety guidelines to prevent injury to themselves and others.

Must have experience in the usage of all floor scrubbing machines to include: side to side scrubbers, square scrub machines, high speed burnishers, walk behind auto scrubbers, etc. Hands on experience related to scrubbing/stripping techniques of various hardfloor surfaces necessary. ::
