Crisis Counselors engage with individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis.  Services provided include verbal de-escalation, crisis resolution, suicide risk assessment and prevention, referral collaboration and supportive counseling.  Crisis Counselors work closely with Police, Emergency Rooms, and Mental Health Providers.  Counselors are required to be professional, empathetic, detail oriented and support recovery.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn the mental health system and improve clinical skills while making a difference in the Centre County community.
