Clinical Director - Nursing Resource Center

Description The Clinical Director of the Nursing Resource Center is a direct supervisory leadership role and is a key member of the Nursing leadership team. The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall management of the Nursing Resource Center, development of clinical practice, and provision of patient care with accountabilities for implementation and outcomes for people leadership, quality, service, compliance, finance, throughput, and scheduling. The Clinical Director of the Nursing Resource Center has the unique opportunity to work very closely with other leaders to solve operational challenges and ensure that nurses are available to provide excellent patient care regardless of the daily assignment. The Clinical Director also serves as a staff role model and drives staff satisfaction by providing leadership that encourages team building, communication, positive attitudes and change as well as supports the art and science of nursing by modeling best nursing practice. This nurse leader makes decisions based on current evidenced-based nursing research and adheres to regulations set by regulatory agencies. Other skills being sought are the ability to work interdependently to achieve optimal patient outcomes, champions the patient experience, and assures operational efficiency is framed in performance improvement standards, and support and encourage a shared governance environment within the division and hospital. The Clinical Director will collaborate with the Clinical Leadership Council regarding the leadership of the department and for nursing in general. The preferred candidate possesses exceptional customer service skills and fosters collaborative physician relationships. Requirements · Texas RN license · Current BLS Bachelor's Degree in Nursing · 3 to 5 years clinical experience; prefer 1 to 3 years management experience in related areas of nursing · Proficiency with MS Office products such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook · Epic Systems EMR experience preferred · Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data
